Intermountain Detailing was formed in June 1989 with an office in Rifle, Colorado close to the Aspen and Vail construction sites and the nearby fabricators.

In 1998 we moved to our office in Cody, Wyoming continuing to serve projects primarily in the Rocky Mountain area of Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.

In August 2005 we relocated to Apex, North Carolina and in June 2019 moved to the northeastern Tennessee city of Elizabethton.

As is common in the industry, we began drawing on velum on a drafting table and progressed to AutoCAD.   We now primarily use Tekla Structures 3D modeling software to produce our work.

In addition to our detailing skills, our background includes years of certified experience in welding, pipe fitting and boilermaking on large industrial projects including power plants and oil refineries.

We also have extensive experience project managing for steel fabricators.
